27 Seconds
Naseeruddin Shah plays Salman Rushdie in Motley's stage adaptation of Rushdie's memoir Knife, built entirely from the words of the book. The production revisits the 27-second attack at the Chautauqua Institution in 2022 and the author's recovery, creative resilience and bond with his wife Rachel Eliza Griffiths, played by Malaika Choudhury. It premieres at the Prithvi Theatre Festival, co-directed by Shah and Arghya Lahiri.
