1950: with the wounds of the 1946 Calcutta killings and Partition still raw, Mohsin, an innocent music-loving Muslim boy from East Bengal, is attacked while visiting Calcutta to hear music, and shelters in the home of Sagar, a Hindu music lover. Four years later, conscience drives Sagar to journey to Mohsin's family, who still wait for word of him.
