TAKSHANAM
A major exhibition of Indian sculpture bringing together over 250 sculptures by 150 artists. Its title draws on the Sanskrit root takṣ, meaning to carve, shape or fashion. The Eminent Artists section presents veteran practitioners alongside works from NGMA's own collection, while the Open Call Artists section features around 80–90 artists selected by a jury. In a first-time initiative, artworks in the exhibition are offered for sale to support sculptural practice.
